UP 1996 heads out of Edison heading for the Tehachapi Loop and on to Mojave.

One of UP's heritage engines, UP1996 is painted for the Southern Pacific. There are several engines specially painted by the UP.

This is a well thought out blending of the Daylight and Black Widow schemes. For a run of the mill freight unit, it's a good looking unit.

Yeah, but it's ugly. I'll post it up anyway. When we saw it, we thought it was a NS unit at first, cause BNSF was running a few through here at the time.
